Swagger

Swag-ger

1 : to conduct oneself in an arrogant or superciliously pompous manner; especially : to walk with an air of overbearing self-confidence

2 : Boast, Brag

The above definition of Swagger is taken directly from the dictionary. Many people believe this is exactly what it means to have swagger. Now, technically it is. But it’s more than just that. Swagger is overbearing self-confidence, but it’s also justified. There are people who are confident, and there are people with Swagger. The shitty singers on American idol have confidence, otherwise they wouldn’t be making asses out of themselves on National TV. Swagger is what Artists have. Musicians like Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lupe. Actors and actresses like Ryan Gosling, Shia Lebouff, and Christina Hendricks. Designers like Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin. All of these people have justifiable confidence that we term “Swagger”. These are the men and women who shape our look. We follow everything they do and say, and that’s fine. Most of us should. But for the few who want to step out of their shadows, defy their rules, and show the world who YOU really are, that’s the art of Swagology, and we salute you!
